About

We're Alex and Ben. We first came to Thailand as tourists back in 2012, fell for the place almost straight away, and we've been living and travelling here ever since.

We've been to every country in South-East Asia and most of the rest of Asia too, and we still think Thailand is the best all-round place to be. Not perfect. Just better.

We started It’s better in Thailand to fuel a sense of adventure. Camping on deserted beaches, jumping out of aeroplanes, rock climbing, white-water rafting, jungle trekking and diving Thailand’s reefs and wrecks: we’ve done it, and we keep doing it as often as we can.

How we write this site

This is the site we wish we’d had when we first landed: practical, honest and written by people who live here. Thailand changes fast. Prices go up, rules change and the “best” beach gets a resort on it. When we find something out of date, we fix it. If you spot something before we do, tell us.
