A trip to Chiang Rai

Some of the best trekking and mountains in Thailand are in Chiang Rai

Thailand’s northernmost province has some amazing roads for motorcycle riding with epic twists and ups and downs, and beautiful mountain views. The food is excellent, the weather often a bit cooler than most of Thailand, and the people of course are really friendly. There’s a well-developed tourism industry, but it’s never been overrun with sexpats and obnoxious tour groups like some places in the country. I was really impressed by Chiang Rai and definitely plan on going back soon.
